How can I stay focused on my homework?

Kay,so I'm a really good student, and I have to write an essay for tomorrow. I can write a killer essay, but i can't sit still for ten seconds... HELP!!!
If I don't write it, I'll be in a deep pile of shit... I won't even explain what will happen because it will just make me more restless.

(1) Set up a reward system. I.E. After you write half a page, you can watch your favorite T.V. show.

(2) Set mini-goals. I am going to write the first paragraph, and then take a break, and then I am going to write the next paragraph....etc.

(3) Write down all your thoughts that are cluttering your mind, so when you are done with your paper, you can go back to your current thought pool.

(4) Choose a topic that interests you, so you are motivated to write

(5) If you have a lot of energy, take a quick jog to exert the energy, or do something physical, and then turn on quiet, relaxing music while you write.
